INKJET DIGITAL PRINTER, DO YOU KNOW WHAT FACTORS AFFECT ITS PRINTING SPEED?

For photo quality inkjet digital printers, we value print speed. The term “bottleneck” has become a common term referring to the key factors that cause some kind of restriction, because no matter how big the bottle is, no matter how big the bottle is, the speed at which it is poured or loaded depends on the thickness of the bottleneck. The same is true for printers, and there are many factors that affect printing speed, but one of the many factors is the most critical.

For an inkjet printer, the factors affecting the printing speed mainly include the processing speed of the computer, the data transmission speed, the data processing speed of the internal processor of the printer, the size of the buffer, the size and number of the nozzles, and the like. Most home printers have very weak internal data processing functions, and they need to use computer to process print data. Therefore, in the case of many system configurations, the main reason for the slow printing speed is not the printer itself, but the processing speed of the computer is too slow. To determine whether the speed of the computer affects the printing speed, you can start from the following aspects:

1.Whether the print head in the middle of printing often stops to wait for data.

2.You can open the System Resource Monitor to see if system resources (such as high CPU usage and increased memory) are very tight when printing.

3.If the system is running multiple applications at the same time when printing, close other applications to see if it affects the print speed.

4.If possible, connect the printing machine to another computer and test the time to print the same content.

5.If it is a problem with a computer system, it is necessary to start from the computer system, and switching to other printers will not have obvious effects.

For text printing, perhaps data transmission is not a big problem, but the amount of data printed by the image is very large, and the speed of data transmission may also be a bottleneck affecting the printing speed. If the transfer speed is too slow, the print head will stop and wait for data while printing. Ordinary print port (parallel port) data transmission capacity is only about 1Mbps, for high-precision image printing is obviously not enough, the new production of printers generally support USB interface, its data transmission capacity can reach 12Mbps, so if possible, use USB as much as possible interface. High-end printers also use the FIREWIRE FireWire interface for faster transfer speeds but require a dedicated interface card.

If the above two factors are excluded, the reason that affects the printing speed is really the wide format textile digital printer itself. In the case of printer hardware (processor, cache), to increase the printing speed, only reduce the amount of data. Unless necessary, generally do not use ultra-high-precision image files, and do not use too high print resolution, to find a balance between print quality and data volume, because it exceeds certain standards, too high image accuracy and printing The resolution has little effect on the output and can only lengthen the printing time.

If the print head continues to move continuously from the beginning of printing to the end of printing, there is no pause and delay in the middle. Such speed may be the limit of this printer, which is determined by the size and number of nozzles. It can also be said that It is the true printing speed. If you are still too slow, I am sorry, I have to change other printers.
